cLARE STUDENTS PERFORM WITH BRASS BAND OF BATTLE CREEK

Jordan Hales with Wycliffe Gordon after the concert.
On Saturday, June 1, five Clare brass musicians traveled to Battle Creek to rehearse and perform with the Brass Band of Battle Creek.
This was the first time BBBC sent out an invitation to high school brass musicians to perform with the band. Approximately 75 brass students from the state of Michigan spent the day with the world-class musicians that make up BBBC. Students also attended a leadership workshop led by motivational speaker and author Fran Kick.
BBBC and the Youth Brass Band performed an outstanding concert that evening, paying tribute to American composers and the development of brass playing and literature spanning the last 100 years.
