Please consider joining us for our regular meeting this month. We are hoping to meet some new people and get together to discuss some volunteer opportunities coming up in December. Meetings are about 1 hour long; come for as long as you can.
We would LOVE to see you there!
Mrs. Sapienza is in need of some middle school parent volunteers to help her with a special idea for the December concert. Please contact her if you are willing to help, or, stop by Monday's meeting for details!
The Marching Pioneers subtly ended their season this year with a final performance at Thursday's Pep Assembly. The band marched through the hallways playing the CHS Fight Song, thus rallying the student body around their fall sports teams.
With the football team's loss to Reed City Friday, the Marching Pioneers will be hanging up the new uniform for the season and will begin preparations for their upcoming Symphonic Band concerts.
The Symphonic Band will be performing several selections for the Veteran's Day Ceremony on November 11, which will be held in the Clare High School Gymnasium. The band is looking forward to it's first performance of Armed Forces Salute, a medley of official music for various Armed Services.
A little over two weeks later, the band will perform at the Band Extravaganza concert (December 9). Music for this concert will have a "Broadway/Pop" flare, and the students cannot wait to begin rehearsing the music for this concert!
Our booster organization is looking for a person to act as our treasurer for the remainder of the year. This person would need to be willing to make deposits to our bank account, present a monthly report at our meetings, and write checks occasionally for Mrs. Sapienza. Currently, our records are on Quick books. It would be preferred if the new treasurer had access to a Quick book account, but not completely necessary.
Please contact Mrs. Sapienza if you could help out with this task (or if you have questions about the position). Thank you.
The CHS Marching Pioneers will NOT be traveling to Reed City for this week's post season football game. Mrs. Sapienza will be in Lansing that day.
Stay tuned for updates as we progress into the playoff season.
Tonight we perform at another home football game. Students, wear a long-sleeve shirt under your bibs. If it is too rainy, we will not issue the uniform top. Instead, students will wear bibs, their own long sleeve shirt and rain parka. The rain parka will be the band uniform for the evening (again, if it's raining). See you tonight!

Here is a picture of our CHS alumni band before the pre-game show. The alumni sounded GREAT during the Clare Fight Song!
Thank you for attending our first real alumni event. The students had a terrific time performing with you and sitting in the stands with you during the game.
PLEASE SEND MRS. S. YOUR PICTURES FROM HOMECOMING TO ADD TO OUR PHOTO GALLERY.
